I’m alive.

I am alive! It’s been a whirlwind of a month since the last time I have posted and I have simply not had the chance to collect my thoughts. I’ll be back, don’t worry.

This one is for the masochists.

Personal note: This is one of the only album which I ever deleted from my library after only a single listen.

Equal Rights For Men -

I have often had these same thoughts myself, yet I was never able to verbalize them in a way that didn’t make me look like an asshole. Now a woman has gone ahead and said it for me. Go girls!

Oh, yeah: me!

So, it appears as though I have gotten so caught up in the majestic beauty of Internet word matching that I have forgotten to even tell you a little bit about myself.

The name is Matthew Leonard Weber. I live in a suburban town of dying Northeast Ohio. It is pretty nice here. We have parks, and lots of shopping places, plenty of restaurants. It is a perfectly crappy suburban life. Everyone here thinks we are so much better than everyone else, but I digress. Up in M-Town, I attend our local high school. We have a pretty big school, about 3000 kids total. I am right now going through the last 2 or 3 weeks of my junior year, which means soon I will be a senior and able to get out of this region I despise.

I try to make the best out of any situation thrown at me. I am Student Government President, a title I won by an (unopposed) election by my peers. I participate in a few other miscellaneous clubs here and there, but probably the most defining characteristics of my academic life are swimming, and my intelligence. Now, I don’t mean to sound snoody, but I am good at school. Every since I was little, the way teachers taught has just meshed with my own personal way of advancement. I don’t really have to try, but I am able to keep up with my school work easily and still have time to independently study things important to me, like computers, music, and whatever my activity of the week happens to be. Now, swimming definitely takes up a large portion of my life. From mid-October until the beginning of March I am in swim-swim-swim mode. I go to school (sometimes as early as 5:45 for dry land practices) learn, stay at school until 4:30, hop on a bus, drive downtown, practice for two hours, then come home around 9:00pm. This is how every single day will go. Out of season, my personality, demeanor, and personal life are radically different. In winter, I am a swimming, that is what defines me. The rest of the time, I am not sure what I am— student? free-thinker? leader? I don’t know.

I do know, however, that I absolutely love life. I love meeting new people, experiencing new things, tinkering, fixing, trying, failure, and success. Every day brings new possibilities and challenges. I especially love meeting new people. Every person I have ever met is completely unique and I enjoy seeing what makes each individual tick.

Well, it seems as if I have gone much to in-depth into some parts of me, and completely glossed over the remaining parts. Either way, I’ve already written too much for even myself to handle. I guess this is a good starting point; over time any faithful reader will begin to understand who I am and what I am really about.

Lights -

I will definately watch this one. Sounds fantastic for a first EP. She is one of the most enjoyable female vocalists I have had the pleasure of listening to in awhile.
